About the role#
This position is for nursing students graduating in Summer 2027. You will begin as a Nurse Extern II during your final semester of nursing school and transition into a full-time Registered Nurse position upon obtaining your license. You will work with a New Grad Recruiter to determine which unit best fits your goals and interests.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct nursing care in departments such as OR, Telemetry, CDU, ED, ICU, or Medical-Surgical.
- Serve as a Nurse Extern II while finishing your nursing degree.
- Transition into an RN role once you receive your licensure.
- Work a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week on night shifts.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited and approved school of nursing.
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week, nights.
- Compensation: $32.00 to $48.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Sign-on bonus: Up to $12,500 available for Med/Surg and Telemetry roles.
