About the role#
This position is for nursing students graduating in Summer 2027. It offers a path to start your career as a Registered Nurse. You will begin as a Nurse Extern II during your final semester and transition into an RN role once you are license pending.
What you'll do#
- Perform the duties of a Nurse Extern II during your final semester of nursing school.
- Transition into an RN position upon becoming license pending.
- Work a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week.
- Participate in a rotation that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

- Location: St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.

- Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
