About the role#
This is a temporary position for nursing students to practice in various nursing areas. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to perform direct and indirect patient care. This role is full-time with a night shift schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist the registered nurse with direct patient care and activities of daily living.
- Observe, record, and report patient symptoms, concerns, and progress to the RN.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to support infection control.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
- Serve as a patient sitter when assigned by the charge nurse.
What you'll need#
- You must be entering the final semester or year of a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate nursing program at an accredited school.
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of your start date.
- Physical capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or pull heavy loads.
