About the role#
This Nurse Extern position is a developmental program for nursing students. You will gain clinical experience across multiple specialties while participating in a guided training program. This role supports the Registered Nursing staff and focuses on patient care activities within the scope defined by the State Board of Nursing.
What you'll do#
- Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients to support their healthcare experience.
- Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation.
- Assist Registered Nurses with daily patient care tasks.
- Report significant observations directly to a Registered Nurse.
- Build clinical skills across various nursing specialties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of at least your first clinical rotation.
- Valid AHA BLS certification.
- A dedicated and empathetic approach to patient care.
