About the role#
The Nurse Extern program is a developmental opportunity for nursing students to gain clinical experience across multiple specialties. You will participate in a guided training program aligned with the requirements of the State Board of Nursing. This role focuses on assisting the Registered Nursing staff to provide patient care and support.
What you'll do#
- Provide assistance and comfort to patients to support their healthcare experience.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care.
- Observe and evaluate patient care activities throughout your shift.
- Report significant patient observations directly to a Registered Nurse.
- Assist the Registered Nursing staff with daily clinical tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of your first clinical rotation.
- Valid AHA BLS certification.
