About the role#
The Nurse Extern program is a developmental role for nursing students seeking to build clinical skills within a hospital setting. You will participate in a guided training program aligned with State Board of Nursing requirements while supporting the Registered Nursing staff in patient care activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care.
- Observe and evaluate patient care activities.
- Report significant observations directly to a Registered Nurse.
- Assist the nursing staff with daily clinical tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of your first clinical rotation.
- Valid AHA BLS certification.
