About the role#
As a Systems Technologies Intern, you will work with engineers and experts in imaging systems, control systems, and embedded software. You will gain hands-on experience developing technologies that improve image quality, system stability, and sensing capabilities. This role involves applying engineering principles to aerospace, defense, and advanced sensing applications.
What you'll do#
- Model and simulate control systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Analyze stabilization and tracking systems and evaluate their performance using test data.
- Build tools and automation scripts for engineering analysis.
- Evaluate image quality and assist in developing image processing algorithms.
- Identify image artifacts and create methods to improve clarity and stability.
- Participate in laboratory and field testing.
- Develop embedded software in C++.
- Integrate algorithms onto FPGA, embedded processors, or heterogeneous computing platforms.
- Create software test utilities, automated verification tools, and documentation.
- Debug software and optimize system performance.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary engineering team.

- Locations: Orlando, Florida or Wilsonville, Oregon.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time availability during the Summer 2027 term, with opportunities for Winter and Fall 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
