About the role#
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support the development and integration of Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM). This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, for approximately three months.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and update SysML-based system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to support requirements traceability and decomposition.
- Build functional, logical, and system architectures.
- Identify and analyze interfaces.
- Assist with verification and validation planning.
- Work with software engineers to align models with current system intent and engineering priorities.
- Improve existing engineering workflows by applying model-based approaches.
- Explain technical concepts through diagrams, views, and model-based products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years toward a degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of developing system models with Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Working knowledge of SysML, including Block Definition Diagrams, Internal Block Diagrams, and activity, sequence, and requirements diagrams.
- Understanding of core systems engineering principles, such as requirements management, system decomposition, and lifecycle considerations.
- Ability to apply engineering concepts in a practical, project-driven environment.
- Familiarity with digital engineering concepts and practices.
- Experience using GitLab.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to facility access restrictions.
