About the role#
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to contribute to the development of the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM). This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for approximately three months during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Debug and analyze issues identified by the team and propose code solutions.
- Implement simple front-end or back-end features.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including brainstorming, testing, verifying, and implementing fixes.
- Join team meetings, project planning sessions, and code reviews.
- Shadow experienced software engineers to learn best practices in modular design, code reuse, and maintainability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in procedural and object-oriented programming, specifically C and C++.
- Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to facility access restrictions.
