About the role#
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a software engineering intern to help build medical planning tools for the NHRC. This internship is a full-time, paid position lasting approximately 3 months during the summer of 2027. You will work directly with our engineering team to gain hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Implement front-end or back-end features.
- Support browser compatibility testing and basic debugging.
- Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Shadow experienced software engineers to learn design and maintenance best practices.
- Take on small research or prototyping tasks to explore new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java.
- Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to facility access restrictions.
- Prior exposure to our technology stack is a plus, but not required.

- This position is based on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.
- Interns are responsible for providing their own housing.
