About the role#
Sundt Construction is hiring an engineering intern to join the Building Group. This role is for students currently pursuing degrees in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, as well as Construction Management. You will gain experience on projects while working alongside our team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and solicit proposals from vendors and subcontractors.
- Help with report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging.
- Perform site surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing corrections.
- Participate in bid openings, conferences, and site tours.
- Support inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
- Work as a helper or technician assistant as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to handle new challenges.
- Curiosity about the construction industry and a readiness to learn on-site.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, hardhats, and safety glasses.
- Ability to stand, walk, and handle objects frequently throughout the shift.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive.
