About the role#
Sundt Construction is seeking engineering and construction management students for a Summer 2026 internship. This role provides hands-on experience on projects across the United States. You will participate in the daily activities required to build our projects while working alongside our team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
- Support report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging.
- Help with surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing filing.
- Assist with timekeeping, inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
- Attend bid openings and conferences to take notes and complete forms.
- Observe and report on meetings and conduct site tours for visitors.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors or subcontractors for proposals.
- Perform tasks as a manual laborer, helper, clerk, or technician assistant.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture program.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to handle assigned challenges.
- Curiosity, a drive to learn, and a readiness to perform hands-on work.
- An interest in pursuing a construction career with a builder.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hardhats.
- Capacity to stand, walk, climb, and lift objects throughout a shift.
