About the role#
Sundt Construction is seeking engineering and construction management students for an internship within our Transportation Group. This role provides hands-on experience on projects across the United States. You will participate in the daily activities required to build our projects and work alongside our team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, cost control, and schedule checking.
- Prepare shop drawings, quantity take-offs, and reports.
- Help with safety inspections, submittal logging, and processing.
- Support surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing filing.
- Attend bid openings and conferences to take notes and complete records.
- Call vendors and subcontractors to request proposals.
- Observe meetings and conduct site tours for visitors.
- Perform tasks as a manual laborer, helper, clerk, or technician assistant.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to handle various challenges.
- Curiosity and an interest in a career in construction.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and a hardhat.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move objects throughout the workday.
