About the role#
This is a PRN (as-needed) position for a Radiology Technologist Student at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. The role provides X-Ray services within the student scope of practice while working under direct supervision.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Select exposure factors and anatomic parameters accurately.
- Follow radiation protection and safety standards.
- Assist supervising technologists and physicians with imaging procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiology school.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- No prior experience is required.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and moving of patients, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
