Radiology Technologist Student - PRN

About the role#

This is a PRN (as-needed) position for a Radiology Technologist Student at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. The role provides X-Ray services within the student scope of practice while working under direct supervision.

What you'll do#

• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Select exposure factors and anatomic parameters accurately.
• Follow radiation protection and safety standards.
• Assist supervising technologists and physicians with imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited radiology school.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• No prior experience is required.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and moving of patients, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
