About the role#
This position provides evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients within the scope of practice for a student. This is a PRN, on-site role based at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Administer medications and treatments to patients under appropriate supervision.
- Deliver ordered therapy and assess patient response.
- Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Provide education to patients regarding their diseases, medications, and treatments.
- Participate in responses to Medical Emergencies and Rapid Responses as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy program.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- No prior experience is required.
