Respiratory Care Student

About the role#

This position provides evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients within the scope of practice for a student. This is a PRN, on-site role based at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

What you'll do#

• Administer medications and treatments to patients under appropriate supervision.
• Deliver ordered therapy and assess patient response.
• Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Provide education to patients regarding their diseases, medications, and treatments.
• Participate in responses to Medical Emergencies and Rapid Responses as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Respiratory Therapy program.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• No prior experience is required.
