About the role#
This is a part-time, PRN position for a Radiology Student Intern at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. The role is designed to accommodate your academic schedule, offering a practical environment to gain clinical experience under direct supervision. This is a paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Provide X-Ray services to patients within the student scope of practice.
- Prepare and position patients, including selecting exposure factors under direct supervision.
- Administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice.
- Maintain radiation protection and safety standards at all times.
- Assist technologists and physicians with various imaging procedures.
- Help maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and maintain a safe environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good academic standing in an accredited radiology school or local Radiology Program.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including constant standing and walking, frequent lifting of patients, and occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

- Pay: $15 per hour with shift differentials available for night and weekend work.
