Radiology Student Intern

About the role#

The Radiology Student Intern role at SSM Health DePaul Hospital provides students with hands-on clinical experience within the radiology department. This position is designed to support academic learning while maintaining a safe and alert environment for patients and staff.

What you'll do#

• Provide X-Ray services to patients within the student scope of practice.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Select exposure factors and anatomic parameters under direct supervision.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as permitted by regulations.
• Assist supervising technologists and physicians with imaging procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
• Adhere to all radiation protection and safety standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment and good academic standing in a local Radiology Program at an accredited school.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, walking, and lifting or moving patients.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Schedule: Hours are worked around your academic schedule.
• Compensation: $15/hour with shift differentials available for night and weekend shifts.
• Employment Type: PRN (Per Diem).
