The Radiology Student Intern role at SSM Health DePaul Hospital provides students with hands-on clinical experience within the radiology department. This position is designed to support academic learning while maintaining a safe and alert environment for patients and staff.
What you'll do#
- Provide X-Ray services to patients within the student scope of practice.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Select exposure factors and anatomic parameters under direct supervision.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as permitted by regulations.
- Assist supervising technologists and physicians with imaging procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
- Adhere to all radiation protection and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good academic standing in a local Radiology Program at an accredited school.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, walking, and lifting or moving patients.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Hours are worked around your academic schedule.
- Compensation: $15/hour with shift differentials available for night and weekend shifts.
- Employment Type: PRN (Per Diem).
