About the role#
As a Product Development Engineer Intern, you will support the Industrial New Product Development team within the Electric Vehicle and Telecom sectors. You will work under limited direction to perform complex engineering tasks, collaborating with project managers, operations teams, and test laboratories. You will manage projects from design through commercialization, ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Execute Research & Development projects by managing timelines, budgets, logistics, and planning through the Stage Gate process.
- Lead projects with personal accountability to develop products and establish clear milestones.
- Collaborate with manufacturing plants, test laboratories, customers, vendors, and contractors.
- Support the production cycle by creating testing plans and solving technical issues on the manufacturing floor.
- Deliver formal technical presentations to customers, industry forums, and conferences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
