About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Heflin, Alabama, for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site, providing process support on the manufacturing floor and gaining experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide process support to senior engineering staff.
- Design, install, and commission machine improvements.
- Manage 2-3 small technical projects at the same time, including creating schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with plant management to keep projects on track.
- Work alongside vendors, internal labor, and contractors to complete your assignments.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance staff as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Experience with systems thinking and process management.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
