About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. The role is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Handle consent management for patients.
- Learn the operational aspects of managing a retail pharmacy.
- Provide support for patient counseling and drug therapy discussions.
- Develop your knowledge of OTC products and disease state management.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- A genuine interest in community pharmacy practice.
- A desire to improve your skills in patient counseling and drug therapy.
- The ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
