About the role#
The Pharmacy Technician Externship Coordinator manages the externship program for students at The College of Health Care Professions. You will build and maintain a network of externship sites, support student progress through site visits, and help students transition into their careers. This role requires you to reside in Texas.
What you'll do#
- Secure and manage externship sites that align with program goals.
- Visit externship sites to evaluate student performance and maintain partner relationships.
- Work with Career Services and Placement teams to help students find full-time employment.
- Teach and manage the online externship course.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring for students at risk of failing their board exam.
- Guide students on professionalism, attendance, and career readiness.
- Maintain documentation such as timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements.
What you'll need#
- An Associates Degree.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating externships, clinical placements, or student training initiatives.
- Proficiency in curriculum delivery and learning management systems (LMS).
