About the role#
The College of Health Care Professions is hiring an Externship Coordinator for the Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) program. This role connects students, faculty, and healthcare partners to help students transition from the classroom into clinical environments. You will manage the externship process to ensure it meets state, federal, and accreditation standards.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare facilities for student placements.
- Coordinate student placements and support their transition into clinical training.
- Conduct site visits and communicate regularly with site supervisors.
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance throughout the externship.
- Lead student orientations and serve as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and clinical sites.
- Organize and maintain records such as timesheets, evaluations, and feedback.
- Support students with professional development tasks like resume building and interview preparation.
- Collaborate with Career Services to track job placement outcomes.
- Maintain affiliation agreements and ensure accurate documentation in CampusVue.
- Conduct final evaluations and exit reviews to assess student success.
What you'll need#
- Completion of an LMRT program or certificate with at least 3 years of professional experience, or a Radiologic Technology Associate degree with at least 2 years of professional experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple relationships and processes effectively.
- A focus on student success and career development.
