About the role#
As a security intern on the SAP Analytics Cloud team, you will contribute to the security, risk, and governance of our cloud-based analytics platform. This is a full-time, 8-month internship position based in Vancouver. You will work alongside cloud architecture teams to help ensure our infrastructure and applications meet security standards.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cloud architecture teams to ensure adherence to defined security, risk, and governance needs.
- Analyze security test results and evaluate their applicability to target environments.
- Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits for IT operations and application systems.
- Contribute to hands-on coding, design, and architecture tasks to deliver solutions for customers.
- Work in a collaborative team environment that includes colleagues in remote locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a coding academy, bootcamp, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or JD/PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and principles of object-oriented design.
- Understanding of databases and web application servers.
- Basic knowledge of IT security, including system and network security, firewalls, IPS, and proxies.
