About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern on the Genesys Cloud Analytics team, you will work with experienced engineers to build cloud-based data services. You will contribute to real development projects while gaining exposure to large-scale data processing, distributed systems, and AWS technologies.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test features for the Genesys Cloud Analytics platform.
- Contribute to services and data pipelines that process large volumes of customer interaction data.
- Write and test software using Java or Python.
- Participate in code reviews and learn modern software engineering practices.
- Gain exposure to AWS, distributed systems, data processing, and CI/CD.
- Comply with HIPAA Security and Privacy Laws and the Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Have fun.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Programming experience through coursework, projects, or previous internships using Java, Python, or a similar language.
- Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development.
- Interest in cloud computing, data engineering, analytics, or distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, or data processing.
- Exposure to technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Airflow.
