About the role#
GIRO is seeking a Software Development and Artificial Intelligence Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will join a team that integrates artificial intelligence into its development practices to build a new internal tool for managing client cutover plans. This project involves streamlining and automating the steps required for successful production rollouts. You will gain hands-on experience by using AI-powered assistants to help with design, programming, and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Participate in requirements analysis and define features for the new cutover planning tool.
- Contribute to the design of the solution architecture and user experience.
- Develop tool features, including both the user interface and application logic.
- Use AI-powered development assistants to support code generation, understanding, and improvement.
- Implement mechanisms to create, modify, organize, and track cutover plan activities.
- Integrate the tool with relevant environments and information sources.
- Document technical decisions and key learnings related to AI-assisted development.
- Collaborate with users and project stakeholders to validate that the solution meets business needs.
- Contribute to demonstrations, refinements, and the ongoing evolution of the tool.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Solid foundation in programming and software development.
- Understanding of application development and software design fundamentals.
- Interest in or experience with AI-powered development assistants like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and turn ideas into features.
- Autonomy, rigor, and initiative when solving problems.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Strong French communication skills, both written and spoken.
