About the role#
GIRO is seeking a Software Development Intern for the Winter 2027 term to join our Algorithms team. You will work alongside experts to build optimization algorithms for public transit and postal service software. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design and development of a large-scale software product suite.
- Create new features related to optimization algorithms.
- Implement and test software code.
- Manage software defects and find solutions to resolve them.
- Provide technical support to development and project teams.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of a bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a master's program in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Software Engineering.
- A specialization in Operations Research.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in C++.
- Solid understanding of operations research principles.
- High proficiency in spoken and written French.
