About the role#
The SAP Internship Experience Program (iXp) offers a paid, 8-month opportunity for students to contribute to the Business Data Cloud team. This role focuses on practical software development within a global, cloud-based data and analytics environment. You will work 40 hours per week, gaining hands-on experience through project-driven tasks and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Engage in practical coding, software design, and testing tasks.
- Develop and enhance software by understanding requirements, implementing features, and resolving technical issues.
- Maintain and improve the existing codebase.
- Embrace lean and agile development principles by participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality products.
- Learn from team members through code reviews, sprint demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current registration in a Computer Science or Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
