About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern in Des Moines, you will support our project teams on active construction sites. You will learn our internal business policies, industry procedures, and the day-to-day operations of commercial real estate development. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with the completion of designated projects.
- Gain experience with budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Observe job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a construction management field.
- You are within 18 months of graduation.
- You can commit to 40 hours per week for a minimum of three months.
- You have basic knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- You can perform mathematical calculations.
- You can read and interpret contracts, specifications, and architectural or engineering drawings.
