About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern in Des Moines, you will support the project team in completing designated projects. This role focuses on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and company business policies.
What you'll do#
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, management, or a closely related field, and within 18 months of graduating.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least a three-month term.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
