About the role#
Ryan Companies is looking for a Project Engineer Intern to join our team in 2027. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work directly with project teams to support the completion of various projects while learning our internal policies and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with day-to-day project completion.
- Learn construction industry processes and company policies.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, management, or a closely related field.
- You are within 18 months of graduating.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural or engineering drawings.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Terms available: Summer 2027 (May-August), Spring Co-op (January-August), or Fall Co-op (May-December).
- Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour.
