About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects. You will focus on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and company business policies while gaining practical experience in a real estate environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for a term of at least three months.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
