About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Intern, you will manage a portfolio of high value small business clients. You act as an ambassador for the bank in the local business market. Your focus is on providing financial advice to help clients start, manage, and grow their businesses. You will work with other bank specialists to provide a complete experience for clients.
What you'll do#
- Acquire and grow client relationships by providing tailored financial advice.
- Proactively contact clients to gather insights and understand their changing needs.
- Plan and prioritize market activities to find new opportunities.
- Connect clients with internal partners to meet their business and personal financial goals.
- Manage risk through due diligence and create action plans for identified concerns.
- Champion digital tools by advocating for mobile and online applications.
- Visit clients on-site to understand their business operations and objectives.
What you'll need#
- Skills in business development, client acquisition, and prospecting.
- A proven track record in client relationship management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Knowledge of credit, risk assessment, financial analysis, and deal presentation is preferred.
- Experience as a small business owner or completion of the Commercial Banking Advisor training program is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with a broad range of business and personal financial products is preferred.
