    About the role#

    As a Banking Advisor Intern, you act as an ambassador for the branch. You help clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. This role relies on your ability to solve problems and provide clear, helpful advice during client interactions. You will guide clients through digital banking tools, onboard new clients, and connect them with specialists for complex financial needs.

    What you'll do#

    • Engage with clients in the branch and the community to uncover their banking needs.
    • Provide advice and identify opportunities for sales or referrals.
    • Teach clients how to use banking technology to improve their experience.
    • Handle a full range of financial transactions for clients.
    • Listen to client needs and take ownership of resolving or preventing banking problems.
    • Maintain relationships with internal partners to support business goals.

    What you'll need#

    • Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
    • A goal-oriented mindset and a focus on putting clients first.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexibility, a drive to succeed, and a strong sense of personal ethics.
    • Digital literacy across devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
    • A preference for candidates with a track record of building rapport in the financial or service industry.
