About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position within the CIBC Wood Gundy brokerage team. You will support Investment Advisors as they manage portfolios for high net worth clients. This role provides an opportunity to learn the investment business through hands-on experience in a professional brokerage environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to the Investment Advisor team to improve overall productivity.
- Maintain compliance standards for all client files and dealings.
- Assist in the creation of investment plans and written proposals for clients.
- Support processes to direct assets into suitable financial products based on client profiles.
- Connect with clients to answer requests and ensure their needs are met.
- Engage in marketing and business development activities, including attending local events and outreach efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with plans to return to full-time studies.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Interest in fields such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.

- Location: Thornhill, Ontario.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to April 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $49,000 to $54,000 annualized base salary.
