About the role#
The Global Analytic Financial Engineering (GAFE) team works within the Global Capital Markets group. You will collaborate with trading and marketing desks to provide analytics and develop new product capabilities. This role involves project-based work that is analytic, technological, or process-related. You will focus on specific product areas, such as Interest Rate, Credit, Equity, or Commodity Derivatives, while supporting broader business line initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and testing of derivatives pricing models.
- Build quantitative tools for trading and structuring desks.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure processes for new business lines.
- Conduct Mark-to-Market impact and sensitivity analysis for various models.
- Perform ad hoc investigations for trading and marketing teams.
- Provide direct support to trading and sales desks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Solid C++ programming skills.
- Good math skills, with knowledge of numerical methods and derivatives products considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Java, Python, Shell scripts, or Excel.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.
