About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Business Markets Intern, you will establish and grow long-term relationships with new and existing small business clients. You will support clients through advice regarding their business and personal needs while using your entrepreneurial spirit to drive business development and client acquisition. You will work with specialists across the organization to help the bank reach its market goals.
What you'll do#
- Drive business sales volume and offer business and personal solutions.
- Generate referrals and sales results while maintaining high standards of client care.
- Build internal and external networks and implement effective prospecting strategies.
- Lead in risk management and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures.
- Develop action plans to address specific risks or client concerns.
- Deliver financial advice that adds value to the client experience.
- Visit clients on-site to understand their business objectives and operations.
What you'll need#
- Ability to cultivate long-term client relationships and acquire new clients.
- Business development and prospecting skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Credit skills and knowledge, including financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
- Proven sales success.
- Knowledge of a broad array of business and personal financial products.
- Completion of the RBC Banking Advisor or Associate Account Manager training program, or previous experience as a small business owner or in a similar financial services role.
- Ability to relocate within the province.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
- Pursuing or holding a background in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
