About the role#
This is a 4-month internship position within the Global Procurement Banking and Financial Services Sourcing Team at RBC. You will work alongside senior procurement representatives to manage supplier relationships and support the acquisition of goods and services. This role is a full-time, paid placement for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of RBC spend across multiple categories.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for various products and services.
- Manage eRFx processes as required to support sourcing activities.
- Evaluate and recommend cost savings based on contract and relationship reviews.
- Use data and analysis to support, influence, and challenge business decisions.
- Ensure internal controls and policies are followed throughout the sourcing process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Supply Chain, Procurement, Law, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Toronto, Ontario.
- The term runs from January 2027 through April 2027.
- Work arrangements include remote, on-site, and hybrid options, to be discussed with the hiring manager.
- Candidates must be located within Ontario for the duration of the work term.
