About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Developer internship within the Quantitative Technology Services team at RBC. You will work on-site in Bedford, Nova Scotia, for the Winter 2027 term. This position offers exposure to project work and daily support tasks within a banking environment.
What you'll do#
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, code, and test applications.
- Conduct code reviews and perform integration testing.
- Manage application releases and handle incident management.
- Support daily operations and identify ways to increase team efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience developing applications in UNIX, Linux, or Windows environments.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C#, C/C+, Python, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
- Strong MS Office skills and the ability to present to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
