About the role#
Join the Portfolio Research & Analytics team at TD Asset Management. You will build web and backend applications that directly support the daily management and monitoring of assets worth hundreds of billions of dollars. This is a 4-month internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on several projects independently and see your code used in production.
What you'll do#
- Develop web and backend applications using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Build and maintain portfolio management tools.
- Participate in the daily management and monitoring of assets.
- Work in a team environment while managing independent project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Intent to return to school at the start of your work term.
- Strong software development skills and the ability to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly.
- Familiarity with or interest in finance is an asset.
- Preferred technical experience includes JavaScript, React, Redux, Python, SQL, REST APIs, MVC frameworks, Git, and Linux-based environments.
Location & details#
- Location: 161 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday).
- Duration: Winter 2027 term.
- Employment: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
