About the role#
As a Data Scientist Student Analyst, you will join the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) team. This role focuses on strengthening data and analytics capabilities to support Payments and Capital Markets priorities. You will work directly with front-line business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and support data-driven decision-making across various client segments and products.
What you'll do#
- Source and organize structured and unstructured data while simplifying data flows from source to use.
- Support the development of scalable data and artificial intelligence use cases.
- Contribute to frameworks that organize and integrate GTB data.
- Assist in the modernization of data infrastructure and processes.
- Define capability roadmaps for deploying data science and AI solutions.
- Provide actionable insights through analysis of portfolio performance, pricing, NIM trends, liquidity metrics, and market dynamics.
- Streamline and automate reporting processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Treasury, Product, Risk, and Technology teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date no sooner than December 2027.
- Foundational business knowledge.
- Strong interest in data engineering, business intelligence, cloud-based data services, and statistics.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various partners.
- Thoughtful problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
