About the role#
This is a Software Engineer internship position within the Velocity program for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with a team to build software solutions and gain experience across different areas of the organization. This is a paid, full-time role based in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a team to deliver clean and effective software solutions.
- Create prototypes to demonstrate concepts.
- Write detailed technical specifications for team members.
- Use best software development practices to deliver high-quality implementations.
- Drive culture change within the team.
- Experiment and learn new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- A strong sense of attitude, ownership, and opportunity.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with databases like Postgres, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, C, or C++.
- Familiarity with development tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Artifactory.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
