About the role#
This paid internship program provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with direct exposure to the operations of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. You will work on project-based assignments and participate in professional development activities that align with our mission. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment while gaining insights into the Federal Reserve System.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to your assigned department through project-based work.
- Build professional relationships with subject matter experts, Bank leadership, and fellow interns.
- Participate in various professional development activities.
- Maintain compliance with Bank ethics rules regarding the ownership of securities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-12 week program.
- Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information to groups.
- Ability to interpret data and analytics to develop insights.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients.

- Modality: On-site or hybrid, depending on department requirements.
