    About the role#

    As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will work with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide professional advice and help clients reach their financial goals during key life events. This role focuses on building and nurturing client relationships while contributing to sales and retention goals.

    What you'll do#

    • Talk with clients to understand their needs and support their financial goals.
    • Provide advice on complex credit and investment matters for personal and business accounts.
    • Work with experts in financial planning, retirement, mortgages, and business banking to provide targeted solutions.
    • Use technology to improve the client experience and drive sales.
    • Take ownership of resolving client banking issues.
    • Implement strategies to build relationships and acquire new clients in the local community.
    • Teach clients about RBC products and help them navigate digital banking tools like mobile and online platforms.

    What you'll need#

    • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
    • Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice through the CSI.
    • 2-3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically handling credit and investments.
    • A proven ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
    • Digital literacy across devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
