About the role#
This student work placement offers an opportunity to apply economics or finance studies to research and analysis that informs Canada’s economic and financial systems. You will work alongside economists, analysts, and supervisors on complex economic, financial, and payments-related issues. This role allows you to deepen your understanding of the central bank and gain hands-on experience that complements your academic studies.

- Support research and analysis projects.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program related to economics, finance, or a similar field.
- You must be returning to school in the next academic term.
- Comfort using business software such as Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Eligibility to obtain Reliability security clearance.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Location: Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: This position offers a hybrid work model. You are expected to be on-site a minimum of 12 days per month if you live within a reasonable commuting distance. If you do not live within a reasonable commuting distance, you may work 100% remotely from within Canada for the duration of the term.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate ranging from $22.84 to $30.94.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
