This summer 2026 internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional video production. Working alongside a team of videographers, you will contribute to real projects while deepening your understanding of the production lifecycle, from initial concept and storytelling to editing and final delivery.
What you'll do#
- Shoot, edit, and develop engaging video content.
- Support internal and external communications campaigns for the Bank of Canada.
- Develop practical skills in video content creation and media production.
- Collaborate with the team to communicate messages effectively through digital media.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in television broadcasting, interactive multimedia, digital media, or a related field.
- Must be returning to school in the next academic term.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of video and photography tools and techniques.
- A self-driven work ethic and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eligibility to obtain Reliability security clearance.
Location & details#
- Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: This is an on-site position. While the Bank utilizes a hybrid work model, this role requires you to be on-site when video shoots occur, and your specific schedule may dictate your days in the office.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $28.73 per hour.
- Requirements: Priority is given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. No relocation assistance is provided.
