About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides professional development and career growth within the Banking Services department, specifically focusing on Lien Release. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives while gaining exposure to the broader organization through guest speakers and networking opportunities. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Complete entry-level professional duties specific to the Lien Release team.
- Ensure all activities follow internal policies and external regulations.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management.
- Maintain internal control standards, including the timely implementation of audit points.
- Foster an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
