About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience within the Investment Management division at Morgan Stanley. You will contribute to real business objectives, collaborate with teams across the firm, and participate in a capstone project presented to business leaders. The program runs from June 1, 2027, to August 10, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct a comprehensive review of all Parametric investment profiles published to consultant databases.
- Use source files to identify and resolve discrepancies or incomplete fields.
- Build and maintain content in the team data repository.
- Use FactSet and internal systems to compile quantitative reports on holdings, performance attributions, AUM, and personnel statistics.
- Assist the data team with ad hoc projects, including data acquisition and organization.
- Support consultant database population through external service providers.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks while coordinating with internal departments.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or rising Senior status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, including PivotTables and V-Lookups.
- Experience with data management and table formatting.
- Strong math and data analysis skills.
- Ability to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Initiative and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with professional services environments and a willingness to learn firm policies.
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, or AI tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Seattle, Washington.
- Modality: Hybrid, with expectations to work from the office 3 days per week.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: 28.50 per hour.
