About the role#
Cerity Partners is seeking motivated students for a paid Wealth Management Internship during the summer of 2027. This program offers exposure to the financial industry within a professional environment. You will work 30 to 40 hours per week and gain hands-on experience in wealth management and financial planning.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and participate in client presentations.
- Assist Financial Advisors with financial documents and performance reports.
- Support the full financial planning process, including discovery, data gathering, plan development, and ongoing reviews.
- Help design, implement, and maintain discretionary investment portfolios.
- Learn and apply income tax planning strategies.
- Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities.
- Utilize CRM and financial planning software systems.
- Collaborate with a team to complete a financial planning project.
- Pursue an e-Money Certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role, or previous professional work experience.
- Alignment with Cerity Partners' mission and core values.
