About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program focuses on professional development and career growth within the Consumer Default Servicing department at M&T Bank. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives while gaining exposure to various areas of the bank through guest speakers and industry leaders. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a built-in peer network and priority consideration for future full-time opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Handle duties and responsibilities typical of an entry-level professional in the department.
- Ensure all activities follow internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify risk-related issues and escalate them to management when necessary.
- Design, maintain, and improve internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Uphold M&T internal control standards, including addressing audit points and regulatory issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Getzville, New York.
