About the role#
As a College Financial Representative, you will build a financial planning practice from the ground up. You will receive guidance and access to a framework for integrated financial planning. This program allows you to develop your professional network while helping others work toward financial goals. You will operate with a flexible schedule that accommodates your classes.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your business and client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to discuss their financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
- Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills that create future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in sales.
- You are highly involved on campus through leadership, athletics, or student organizations.
- You possess excellent time-management skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy and want to improve your critical thinking abilities.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing are relevant to this role.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Louisville, Kentucky.
- The work modality is on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Compensation includes performance-based earnings, revenue, productivity bonuses, and learning and development incentives.
- The company provides support for insurance licensing and exam registrations, including SIE, Series 6, and Series 63, subject to eligibility.
