    About the role#

    As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will manage relationships with personal and small business clients. You will provide professional advice to help clients reach their goals during key life events. You will work to drive sales and client retention while representing the bank in the local community.

    What you'll do#

    • Talk with clients to understand their needs and help them reach their financial goals.
    • Provide advice on complex credit and investment matters for individuals and businesses.
    • Work with experts in retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to provide targeted advice.
    • Use technology to improve the client experience and drive sales.
    • Resolve client banking problems and prevent future issues.
    • Implement strategies to build relationships and acquire new clients.
    • Explain the features of banking products and help clients use digital tools like mobile apps and ATMs.

    What you'll need#

    • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
    • Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice through the CSI.
    • 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically with credit and investments.
    • Proven ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
    • Digital literacy across devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
    • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
