About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience within the Commercial Banking division. You will work alongside Relationship Managers to gain insight into the banking industry while developing core professional skills. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. Interns are expected to be in the office four days per week.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and assist Relationship Managers with daily administrative tasks.
- Support the loan closing process by clearing conditions, preparing packages, and organizing documentation.
- Manage reporting tasks, including pipeline tracking and loan data entry on the bank platform.
- Identify complex business problems and recommend new product or service solutions.
- Participate in project work focused on managing accounts across specific customer segments.
- Identify opportunities for sales and delivery of solutions across business lines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Please note that we do not provide employer sponsorship for this role.

This role is based on-site in one of the following locations: Boston, Massachusetts; Hartford, Connecticut; or Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
