About the role#
The Global Markets Credit Summer Analyst program is a ten-week internship based in New York City. You will work alongside industry experts to gain experience in credit underwriting and transaction structuring for various counterparty exposures. The program includes an initial orientation and technical training, followed by desk rotations, formal mentorship, and a senior speaker series.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing high-quality credit submissions for business proposals.
- Conduct market, industry, and client credit analysis while articulating the rationale for credit decisions and risk ratings.
- Collaborate with Treasury Sales and Trading, Cash Management, and Trade Finance groups to ensure client needs are met.
- Monitor counterparty performance and credit exposures, including compliance with credit limits and reporting requirements.
- Identify potential issues and recommend actions to manage risks in deteriorating credit situations.
- Contribute to the credit culture by raising concerns regarding credit, reputational, or operational risks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Significant coursework in a business-related field, such as Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong financial, analytical, and technical skills, with a preference for MS Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated capacity to become adept at financial modeling.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
